Information Update
12/7/22
Hello everyone,
It is the final countdown!
Hebrew has been learned!
Hors d’œuvres have been selected!
Anxiety is being managed! (Barely.)
Can’t wait to see you on Saturday for the big event.
Here is some relevant info.
Transportation:
Have chatted with most of you drivers. Please be aware that parking is a nightmare near Congregation Beth Elohim (aka The Temple.) If you cannot arrive via public transportation or foot, please give yourself extra time to find parking. As an alternative to parking by the Temple, am encouraging drivers to park by the Bell House. As it is in more of an industrial district, there will be more street parking available. The Bell House is about a mile from the temple. If you are not a walker, I am providing a Lyft code that will aid you in your journey back up the slope. Click here for instructions.
Re: transportation from the Temple TO the Bell House. Same deal. Folks are welcome to walk, it is approximately one mile…this time, downhill! All addresses and maps are available on www.spessah.com . Don’t wish to walk? You are welcome to take a LYFT on us! I am providing a code and instructions that will make it so. Click here for instructions.
LYFT not your bag? Don’t have the LYFT app? Confused? There will be delightful “transportation captains” available right outside the temple who can order a LYFT for you or direct you accordingly. Look for ladies with signs.
Timing:
Service begins at 9:30. We encourage you to arrive by 9:20 if you wish to meet/greet. Rumor has it that there are sometimes bagels in the lobby at 9:15.
Service will conclude sometime between 11:30 and 11:45. We are expected at the Bell House at 12:15. At the conclusion of the service there is a Kiddish. This is a blessing over food/drink. Feel free to make your way to the front of the temple to schmooze and grab a sustaining cookie or piece of challah. There is also sometimes whisky!
Samson and I will probably dash out fairly quickly so I can check on the setup of the party.
Party is set to conclude by 5PM. There will be hors d’oeuvres, buffet lunch, a little presentation and then a fun dance party. Wear your dancing shoes.
Food:
We have done our best to be accommodating to those with allergies/sensitivities. The event will be entirely nut-free. (Except for the attendees. Bwahahah.) There will be vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free choices available. If you have questions, you can ask the caterer at the event.

I know some of you have morning commitments and will be coming a bit late. If you wish to stream the service you can via

Ok…we encourage everyone to take the necessary health precautions. These are still nutty times. Test and mask where appropriate.
HERE WE GO!
Love,
Sari and Samson
